Tired of Head Pressure? Try This Easy Exercise
SNAG stretches can help relieve head pressure that stems from tight muscles
My concussion left me with terrible head pressure. My neurologist was quick to blame migraines, but I knew something else was wrong.
I noticed that there seemed to be a connection between my neck pain and the head pressure, so I mentioned the issue to one of my physical therapists. After reviewing my medical history, which included post-concussion syndrome, cervical stenosis, occipital neuralgia, bulging discs in my neck, and tight SCM and suboccipital muscles, my physical therapist confirmed that my neck could be the culprit.
We decided to try some exercises called cervical SNAGs. In the medical world, SNAG stands for sustained natural apophyseal glide.
Simply put, SNAG exercises make it easier to move your neck (or another body part) without pain. Here’s a video that explains SNAGs better than I do.
