People put a lot of pressure on moms.

If you go out too much, you’re a bad mom. If you don’t go out often enough, then you’re teaching your kid to be clingy.

If you don’t vaccinate, then people threaten to call CPS. If you do vaccinate, then you have to deal with the stress of deciding whether the potential risks outweigh the benefits.

If your house isn’t clean, you must be lazy. If your house is spotless, then you don’t let kids be kids or do anything fun with your little ones.

If you’re single and you date, then you’re selfish, and you’re probably introducing the kids to the guys way too soon. If you don’t date, then you’re robbing your kids of the chance to have a father figure and a family life.

If your kid does something wrong, it’s your fault. Don’t worry, the Internet will tell you all about it. It doesn’t matter if your kid pinched someone at the playground or stabbed their teacher. It’s obviously Mom’s fault, and all of the comments will blame her.

“Where were the parents?” I see this all the time, and you know what? Sometimes the parents are sitting right there.

You can only do so much. You can’t live life for your children. Sometimes they will do things you don’t like, and it’s not your fault.
