My heart hurt reading this, and I could relate to a lot of what you wrote. My 7 year old with autism has been suspended 7 times just this month, and his gen ed time has now been reduced to less than 40% of his day. He spends the rest of his day in special ed or alone in the ISS (in-school suspension) room.

He’s doing better now that they’ve given him a full-time para, and I’ve gone 4 days in a row without a phone call home. I’m hopeful this is a step in the right direction, but it’s hard to remain optimistic in a situation like this.
