Let’s Have Realistic Expectations for Biden — And Every President of the United States
Today was Inauguration Day for Joe Biden. Regardless of how you feel about our new president, please remember that he’s just one person. Sure, he’s backed by other parts of our legal system, but he’s just one person.
We can’t put all our faith in one person. It’s the president’s job to run the country, but he can’t make 331 million people happy no matter what he does. It’s just not possible, so it’s important to plan accordingly whether a Democrat or Republican has the office.
Yes, our political leaders have certain duties, and it’s okay to hold them to a high standard. But at the end of the day, we still play an important role in our communities. Our choices can make life better for our families, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
It’s easy to get comfortable in your current situation, even if things aren’t going well. What are you doing to make life better for yourself or your loved ones? Are you actively taking steps toward positive changes, or are you living on autopilot and expecting your political leaders to save the day?
Some of us have more resources and opportunities than others. It’s unfair, and I won’t deny that. However…
