I'm in a FB group where one of the big names on Medium shared their article link and asked us to share ours as well. This writer said they'd read and interact with all of the work we shared with them. I've never really seen this big name interact much with other writers' work on here, so I was curious how they'd react to mine.

I purposely shared an old article that rarely gets traffic just to see if they'd actually read it. As I expected, the stats didn't change...for more than a month. I'm pretty sure the big name writer never looked at it.

I used to follow this writer regularly, but I was mad after that incident. I don't read their work very often anymore because I see them as a fake, dishonest person now. It might seem like I'm overreacting, and maybe I am, but oh well. I'm big on people keeping their word, even when it's about something minor.
