I live in a trailer park, so $60,000 would be life changing for me. I'd start by buying the trailer I currently rent, as my landlord has previously stated he's willing to sell it to me for $25,000 or $30,000. Then I'd pay off my car (I owe around $20,000, but I think it would only be $15,000 if I did a lump sum). I have 3 kids, so I'd put some in a savings account for each one. I'd also give some money to a couple friends who have had a rough year.

With the remaining money, I'd plan a family fun day and take my kids out to their favorite restaurants and places. We'd probably go bowling, play laser tag, and visit the pizza buffet. I'd also buy myself some new shoes.
