I’m not wealthy. In fact, I’m barely scraping by.
Statistically speaking, this isn’t shocking. I live in a trailer park, and the median income for trailer park inhabitants across the nation is less than $30,000 per year. I’m also part of the 98% of teen moms who don’t finish college by age 30. In fact, I still haven’t finished college at age 37— I only have a GED.
But I’ve got plenty of bills and plenty of hope. I don’t have to live in poverty forever, and I’m putting a stop to it today.
That’s why I’m going to earn $10,667 in 27 days.
This isn’t just some random figure I came up with on a whim. It’s the exact amount I need to pay all my regular bills, plus come up with the $5,000 trial retainer for my custody case that’s due in early December.
I have to average around $396 per day to make this happen. That figure may sound crazy, but I earned $420 yesterday. It wasn’t easy, and I was in tears by bedtime, but I made it happen.
I work well under pressure. When I was short on funds during a family vacation, I pounded out $500 of work in 3 hours for a fast-paying client. When I needed $1,000 to stop an eviction, I worked from the crack of dawn to the midnight hour to get the funds I needed.
