All the Things Mom Does — A Poem
“Mom, what’s for dinner?”
Her family asks
As she’s racing around
Doing other tasks
“Mom, where’s my lunch box?”
Her child wants to know
Because it’s always Mom’s job
To know where things go
“Mom, my tooth hurts”
Her child complains
Because Mom is the one
Who treats aches and pains
“Mom, my friends hate me”
Her child vents after school
Because Mom can help
Friends keep their cool
“Mom, I’m failing math”
Her child confesses, crying
Because Mom encourages everyone
To do their best and keep trying
“Mom, I’ve got soccer”
“Can you drive me to the game?”
If extracurriculars are missed
