About Missy Crystal, Part 2: Another Intro Since It’s Been Years
Just a quick rundown of who I am and what you can expect from my work
I have purple hair now.
The first time I dyed my hair purple, I did it on purpose. I have no regrets.
The second time, it was an accident. Google and TikTok convinced me I could highlight my own hair, but the internet had too much faith in me. I ended up with orange streaks and bright splotches from spots I’d missed.
Yes, I used toner. Leave me alone.
Anyway, redying my hair purple seemed like the easiest way to fix this problem, so that’s what I did. My favorite color is purple, so it works.
Besides, I’m not meant for ordinary hair. At least that’s what my kids say.
“Someone named Missy shouldn’t have boring hair,” my son explained. “You look best with purple.”
Fair enough. My hair will remain purple for now — and probably the next few months, maybe longer. Depends on when my neck stops aching and my vestibular issues get resolved. I can’t handle a trip to the salon right now.
